MYX Announces Highly Anticipated Season 2 Premiere of Hit Show "MYX Hits Different"

LOS ANGELES, CA, July 12, 2023 –  - MYX TV, the leading Asian-American entertainment network, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated premiere of Season 2 of its hit show "MYX Hits Different." The show returns on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 7 PM, on myx.global.

The second season brings an exhilarating lineup of groundbreaking music, captivating performances, and exciting surprises.

According to MYX Head of Content & Programming Nino Llanera, “Each artist was handpicked and curated so that this season we would be able to showcase multiple genres creating a new vibe that hits different with each episode you watch.” Llanera adds that they wanted to show the diversity of the new generation OPM (Original Pilipino Music) talents that are out there so that audiences could get to know them on a deeper level.

Season 2 will feature a diverse array of artists, each bringing their unique talents and energy to the show. Here are the seven featured artists:

John Roa - Hailing from Quezon City, John is a phenomenal Filipino rapper, singer, and songwriter who has captured hearts with his soulful voice and profound lyrics. His distinctive sound resonates with listeners.

Maymay Entrata - A multi-talented Filipino artist, Maymay Entrata is a force to be reckoned with. Rising to fame as the winner of Pinoy Big Brother 7, Maymay has since established herself as a captivating performer, singer, and actress. Her infectious energy and magnetic stage presence make her a true star.

Jeff Grecia – This rising star in the music scene grabs audiences with his sick rhymes and mind-blowing flow. This talented artist from the Philippines is poised to take the industry by storm.

Ken San Jose - A phenomenal dancer and performer, Ken San Jose has been wowing audiences with his impressive moves and infectious charisma. His electrifying performances and dedication to his craft have made him one of the most sought-after talents in the dance and music industry.

Angela Ken - Filipina singer-songwriter Angela has a powerful voice that accompanies her heartfelt lyrics. Her soulful melodies resonate with her fans around the world.

Dilaw - This Filipino rock band formed in Baguio in 2021 is known for their energetic and anthemic sound. With their powerful riffs, soaring vocals, and socially conscious lyrics, Dilaw has become a favorite among rock music enthusiasts, earning them a dedicated following both in the Philippines and beyond.

Alamat - This dynamic sing-rap-dance boy group has taken the music scene by storm. P-pop group, Alamat, combines harmonious vocals, impressive choreography, and infectious energy, establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

The MYX team is excited to bring back MYX Hits Different for its second season. Llanera says that they “took the visuals up a notch for this season with the help of the creative minds from You Me Us MNL.”

Llanera also revealed that they dived deeper into each artist’s personality which helps bring this season’s set designs to life. They also incorporated the fans since they help make the artists who they are. Llanera is confident that these additional elements would help propel MYX Hits Different to the next level.
