Hi, Kapamilya! 

The Lopez Group Foundation, Inc. joins #GivingTuesday, a global movement that inspires people everywhere to give, collaborate, and make an impact. And this #GivingTuesday, we invite you to Respond As One.

Magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck Cebu, damaging more than 159,000 homes and affecting over 2.2 million people, leaving tens of thousands displaced. Soon after, Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi) swept through several regions, claiming over 204 lives, leaving 109 missing, and displacing more than 560,000 people. Thousands of homes were destroyed, and schools were damaged, leaving nearly 1.9 million learners and 80,000 teachers unable to return to classrooms. Days later, Super Typhoon Uwan hit, killing at least 8 people, displacing over 1.4 million individuals, and affecting more than 92,000 families in evacuation centers. Uwan has left nearly 3 million without power and now threatens over 12,000 additional schools, putting thousands of families and children at risk.

Our CSR members ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. and Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc., are responding with urgency and care by addressing our kababayans’ immediate needs and helping children continue learning while their schools are being rebuilt.

“Respond As One” means coming together in unity and compassion to rebuild lives, communities, and hope after adversity. It reflects the belief that recovery is not just the responsibility of those directly affected, but of everyone who can extend help.
