WASHINGTON D.C. – The Philippine Embassy proudly stood alongside the vibrant Filipino community in Baltimore as they commemorated the 13th Archdiocesan Fiesta of Filipino Saints, a joyous occasion celebrating the canonization of two remarkable saints, Saint Lorenzo Ruiz and Saint Pedro Calungsod. The magnificent event unfolded at The Cathedral of Mary, Our Queen where Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski presided over the Holy Mass, infusing the day with spiritual significance.

Additionally, the Philippine Embassy played an active role by setting up a dedicated booth to cater to inquiries for consular services. Moreover, they facilitated the crucial process of Overseas Voter Registration, ensuring that the Filipino community in Baltimore could actively participate in their homeland’s democratic processes.

Following the sacred ceremony, the festivities continued with a splendid array of cultural presentations and a delectable food festival. These expressions of Filipino culture and cuisine added a rich layer of diversity and community spirit to the occasion. The success of this event can be attributed to the diligent efforts of the Filipino Council of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, who orchestrated the festivities. They were supported by dedicated individuals within the Filipino community and various organizations, all coming together to create a memorable celebration. In summary, this 13th Archdiocesan Fiesta of Filipino Saints in Baltimore was a harmonious blend of spirituality, culture, and community engagement, further strengthening the bonds within the Filipino diaspora while celebrating the enduring legacy of two beloved saints.
