EdukSine USA Online Filipino Film Festival

This FREE online film festival celebrates Filipino culture, amplifies the voices of independent filmmakers, and strengthens the connection of the global Filipino community to its roots.

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco invites the Filipino Community to the inaugural EdukSine USA Online Filipino Film Festival with the theme “A Festival of Filipino Films, A Home Away from Home,” from March to May 2025.

This FREE online film festival celebrates Filipino culture, amplifies the voices of independent filmmakers, and strengthens the connection of the global Filipino community to its roots. It showcases the following award-winning independent Filipino films spanning various genres:

🎬 The Adventures of Kween Jhonabelle – Dir. Carlo James Buan | Comedy, Women Empowerment
🎬 Tanabata’s Wife – Dir. Charlson Ong, Lito Casaje, Choy Pangilinan | Drama, Romance
🎬 Instalado – Dir. Jason Paul Laxamana | Sci-fi, Social Commentary
🎬 Sinandomeng – Dir. Byron Bryant | Family Drama
🎬 Pauwi Na – Dir. Paolo Villaluna | Road Film, Dark Comedy
🎬 The Chanters – Dir. James Mayo | Comedy, Coming-of-Age
🎬 Bagahe – Dir. Zig Dulay | Social Drama

The EdukSine USA Online Filipino Film Festival is made possible through the support of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry’s “Malikhaing Pinoy” program for the Philippine creative industries.

EdukSine is the first and the only block screening streaming platform and a pioneering cultural and social enterprise in the Philippines that believes in the transformative power of film, culture, and the arts as tools for relevant and responsive education. EdukSine is committed to uplifting the lives of independent filmmakers and producers who often face limited support and access to distribution channels. Through its online streaming platform as well as in-person and hybrid screenings, EdukSine provides a vital platform for showcasing socially relevant, educational, and independent Filipino films to audiences both in the Philippines and beyond.
