EVENT DETAILS:
The
Larry Itliong Day Festival is an annual celebration of Filipino music, art, education, and culture highlighting the life and legacy of Filipino farm worker, labor rights movement leader, and unsung hero, Larry Itliong.
The Larry Itliong Day Festival is presented by the Pilipino Workers Center in partnership with the Larry Itliong Day Committee. This year, the FREE event will take place on October 22, 2022. With this event, we aim to use visual and performing arts to educate and entertain attendees and viewers about the Filipino culture, the history of the Filipino labor movement in the United States, and its impact on workers today. Through a well-curated program, we aim to bridge social justice with music, arts, and cultural appreciation. Attendees will enjoy a variety of activities such as musical performances by various artists, an educational art exhibit, a farmers market with produce and prepared foods from Filipino farmworkers, a food fair, bazaar/trade expo, and many more.
