124th Philippine Independence Day Celebration
PIDF and the City of Carson present the 124th Philippine Independence Day Celebration
First celebrated in the City of Carson in California way back in 1986, the Philippine Independence Day celebration is the largest and longest running day-long celebration of Philippine culture and community in the South Bay, Los Angeles area and beyond. Hosted by the Philippine Independence Day Foundation, Inc. (PIDF), it’s fitting that this full day festival is held in a city that boasts about 20% of its roughly 100,000 population to be of Filipino descent, while also being accessible to a many of the over 850,000 Filipinos/FilAms in Southern California.
This being the first time in three years that our Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Carson, CA will once again be back to being celebrated in person after a temporary two-year transition to virtual celebrations due to the pandemic, the Filipino and greater community is excited to have some sense of normalcy and celebrate together safely once again.
