Eraserheads: Ang Huling El Bimbo Concert Canada
On June 16, all roads lead to the largest Filipino concert ever in Canada! What is dubbed to be the final concert of ERASERHEADS, these musical icons will also be the first ever Filipino performers at the First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, ON. It joins a stellar list of international acts like Elton John, Paul McCartney, Maroon 5, BTS, Backstreet Boys, Selena Gomez, among many others.
Coming from the massively successful December final reunion concert in Manila, “Huling El Bimbo” the final reunion concert will tour North America. In Ontario, Canada, the highly anticipated rock concert will peform before a crowd of over 10,000 fans.
Perfectly timed during Philippine Independence Week and Filipino Heritage Month in Canada, fans from as far as the Maritimes and Quebec have committed to travel in bus loads, eager that they do not miss out on this one final opportunity to watch their most beloved band perform together.
Eraserheads is considered the most iconic, influential, and successful alternative rock bands in the history of Filipino music. Frequently dubbed as the “Beatles of the Philippines”, their career spanned more than twenty years, with multiple platinum-awarded albums and quintessential songs under their belt. Formed in 1989 while students at the University of the Philippines, Raimund Marasigan, Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro, collectively built a very colourful history, from disbandment and controversies to reunions and new songs. This is one epic Filipino rock party that Filipinos cutting through generations in Eastern Canada won’t want to miss.
