HONG KONG, May 24, 2024 - One of the most awaited Philippine Independence Day events this summer happens to celebrate also the annual Filipino National Migrant Workers Day. On June 2, Sunday, the OFW Migrant Workers Day festival will take place at Hong Kong's Chater Road which is among the region's most historic thoroughfares. This landmark road at the heart of Hong Kong has played host to many family fun and cultural events. The event is spearheaded by the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Philippine Consulate General of Hong Kong and the Global Alliance of Hong Kong.

Live performances from acclaimed singing champions and multi-awarded artists Jed Madela and Reiven Umali promise a world-class level of entertainment as a tribute to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Asia's World City.
The OFW Migrant Workers Day festival is packed with activities that will kick off as early as 8am. There will be inspiring speeches from distinguished officials, energy-packed competitions that include OFW Got Talent and Battle of the Bands, performances from different Filipino community organizations, and the much-awaited TFC Happy Hour to be followed by the TFC Artists Meet and Greet.
