"It's Okay Not to be Okay" by Angela Ken
This song was born from the Bb. Pilipinas 2021 Pageant question that the Philippines' King Of Talk, Boy Abunda, asked one of the candidates: "When is it okay not to be okay and when is it not okay to be not okay?" The question went viral on social media and generated massive conversations. This inspired Boy Abunda to produce this beautiful collaboration and asked Angela Ken and award-winning songwriter, vocal arranger, composer, record producer and ABS-CBN Music's Creative Director Jonathan Manalo to write a song capturing the essence of the question.

This masterpiece came to life to inspire others that it is okay not to be okay at certain times, but it is not okay not to be okay all the time.

About the Artist:
Folk pop singer-songwriter Angela Ken is one of the most unique talents under ABS-CBN Music. Her amazing break started when as an 18-year-old, she posted a snippet of her still unfinished and untitled song on her TikTok channel.  The song got 1.3 million likes and over 21,000 comments in a short time, with many clamoring for the song to be finished while Angela asked her followers to suggest a title.

Less than a year after, she completed the song entitled, "Ako Naman Muna (I'll Take this Time for Myself)," and teamed up with ABS-CBN Star Music to launch it on various digital platforms. The song reached number one on Spotify's global "Viral 50" chart, garnering more than 23 million streams.  Moreover, the music video for the song has already gotten 13 million views on YouTube as of this writing, proving that her original Filipino music has a vast and powerful appeal that resonates with a large audience.
