Pinarangalan sa prestihiyosong EMI Gala Fashion Awards ang dalawang world-class Pinoy designers na sina Michael Cinco at Furne Amato.
Kinilala si Michael Cinco bilang Fashion Designer of the Year, at si Furne Amato bilang International Fashion Designer of the Year at Fashion Innovator.
Ginanap ang EMI Gala Fashion Awards sa Hilton Hotel, Al Habtoor City, Dubai noong July 14, 2021, hatid ng Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA).
Inialay ni Cinco ang kaniyang award sa mga kasamahang pumanaw sa gitna ng pandemya. “I would also like to dedicate this award to some of my friends in the fashion industry who lost their lives from the pandemic, some people who lost hope and living a very tough and difficult lives right now. And everyone who is battling to survive from the crisis,” pahayag ng Pinoy fashion icon sa kaniyang Instagram account.
Pinarangalan rin kamakailan si Cinco sa UAE bilang isa sa mga awardees ng Dakilang Bayani Awards 2021, kung saan kinilala ng PH consulate ang mga natatanging Pinoy sa UAE.
Nagpahayag naman ng pasasalamat si Furne Amato, na siyang gumawa ng evening gown ni Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo, para sa kaniyang dalawang awards mula sa EMI Gala ngayong taon. “International Fashion Designer of the Year and Fashion Innovator! So humbled and honored to received one of the highest awards given at the EMI Gala. Thank you Dubai for making all these couture dream come true!” pagbabahagi ng designer sa kaniyang Instagram account.
Nagpadala rin ng pagbati si Miss Universe PH Rabiya Mateo kay Furne Amato. “Congratulations Sir Furne!!!” sulat ni Mateo sa IG post ng designer. Matatandaang si Amato ang nag-disenyo ng bright yellow evening gown ni Mateo para sa Miss Universe coronation night.
