EVENT: Kultura - The 2022 Edmonton Filipino Festival
SETTING THE STAGE FOR THE BIGGEST EDMONTON FILIPINO FESTIVAL OUTSIDE OF THE PHILIPPINES
EDMONTON, AB – We are excited to set the stage for the Biggest Edmonton Filipino Festival Outside of the Philippines with Kultura Edmonton Filipino Festival (KulturaYEG2022.) This 2-day event on 17 – 18 September 2022 will celebrate and showcase the richness of the Filipino culture in Alberta and feature the best the Edmonton Filipino heritage can offer.
KulturaYEG2022 will feature delectable Filipino cuisine, local and international Filipino performers and entertainment and cultural performances from local and international groups. We will also feature a special headline performance from a Filipino celebrity well known to the community. Our venue, Sir Winston Churchill Square is a safe, family-friendly, vibrant, and lively urban plaza in the heart of Edmonton’s downtown. The pavilions, public art, water features and seating areas create a vibrant public space and makes this the perfect venue to host KulturaYEG2022.
KulturaYEG2022 is a significant community outreach and promotional opportunity for organizations and local businesses in our community. We project over 50,000 in attendance for a 2-day event reaching approximately 20,000+ Filipino families. Filipino Canadians are the fourth largest subgroup of the overseas Filipinos and one of the fastest-growing groups in Canada. Kultura Edmonton Filipino Festival is dependent entirely upon the volunteer work of local members and business leaders in the Edmonton Filipino Community and the generous support of local businesses – this support will help sustain our celebration and cultural festival, which not only provides enrichment to our community, but also allows us to share our culture with others.
